Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle会津若松城
Aizu-Wakamatsu Castle, also known as Tsuruga Castle, is a castle located in the city of Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan. It was built in the 14th century and served as the stronghold of the Aizu Domain during the Edo period. The castle was the site of the Battle of Aizu during the Boshin War in 1868, and was subsequently destroyed. The castle was reconstructed in the 20th century and is now open to the public as a museum. The castle features exhibits on the history of the castle and the Aizu region, as well as a collection of artifacts and weapons from the Edo period.
