Bandai-Asahi National Park磐梯朝日国立公園

Bandai-Asahi National Park is a natural wonder that spans across the Tōhoku region of Japan, covering the prefectures of Fukushima, Yamagata, and Niigata. The park boasts a diverse range of landscapes, including majestic mountains, lush forests, and rejuvenating hot springs. Visitors can take a dip in one of the park's many lakes, including the fourth largest lake in Japan, Lake Inawashiro and the caldera lake, Lake Hibara. The park is especially popular during the autumn season, where hiking trails offer breathtaking views of the changing leaves. Along with its natural beauty, the park also has a rich history, with several historical sites such as the well-preserved post town from the Edo period, Ouchijuku, and the Tsuruga-jo Castle, a designated National Treasure. Visitors can also indulge in the park's hot spring resorts, like the famous Aizu Tsurunoyu Onsen.
