Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum江戸東京たてもの園
The Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum in Koganei Park, Tokyo, is a showcase of historic Japanese buildings, ranging from middle-class homes to those of wealthy individuals, such as former Prime Minister Takahashi Korekiyo. Visitors can enter and experience a variety of structures from different periods, including upper-class homes, pre-war shops and public baths, and Western-style buildings from the Meiji period. This museum provides access to structures that would otherwise be off-limits to tourists or difficult to find in Tokyo. Notable animator Hayao Miyazaki visited the museum during the creation of his film, Spirited Away, for inspiration.
