Great Buddha Hall大仏殿

The Great Buddha Hall is the central hall of Todai-ji temple. Originally built in the Nara period, it has been destroyed by fire twice in 1180 and 1567. The current structure, built during the Edo period, was overseen by the monk Kōkei. The Great Buddha Hall is the world's largest wooden structure.
