Kagawa Prefectural Higashiyama Kaii Setouchi Art Museum香川県立東山魁夷せとうち美術館

The Kagawa Prefectural Higashiyama Kaii Setouchi Art Museum is a privately owned institution that focuses on the works of Japanese painting master Kaii Higashiyama. Higashiyama was a renowned writer and artist who is particularly known for his Nihonga-style paintings. The museum, which was designed by renowned architect Yoshio Taniguchi, is relatively small with an exhibition room area of 277 m2. Despite its small size, it has a high number of visitors. The museum was established to showcase more than 270 print works donated by Mrs. Sumi Higashiyama in April 2001. Construction began in 2003 and the museum officially opened in April 2005.
