Kishi Station貴志駅
Kishi Station is well-known for its Station Master Cat, Tama, who served as the honorary station master from 2007 to 2015. Despite Tama's passing in 2015, her legacy continues to live on. Tama brought a significant amount of attention to the station and the surrounding area, becoming an important figure in the community. The station is also the terminus for the Kishigawa Line, connecting Wakayama and Kishi. The Wakayama Electric Railway operates three themed trains: the Ichigo Train, featuring a strawberry motif, the Omocha Train, featuring a toy theme, and the Tama Train, named after the beloved station master cat Tama.
