Nima Sand Museum仁摩サンドミュージアム
The Nima Sand Museum is a unique destination featuring six pyramid-shaped glass buildings of varying sizes. It boasts an impressive collection of hourglasses and sand artworks sourced from Japan and other countries around the world.
The museum is known for its symbol, the world's largest hourglass named the "sandglass" in Japan. This one-year hourglass clock weighs a ton and stands at 5.2 meters tall with a diameter of 1 meter. On New Year's Day, the museum holds a special event centered around the one-year sandglass. At exactly 23:55 on New Year's Eve, 108 individuals born in the same zodiac year as the current year turn over the hourglass.
Closed on Wednesday.
