Toei Animation Museum東映アニメーションミュージアム
The Toei Animation Museum is dedicated to showcasing the achievements of Toei Animation Co., Ltd., a prominent Japanese animation studio known for producing numerous iconic animation series both domestically and internationally. Some of their well-known creations include "Sally the Witch," "Mazinger Z," "Galaxy Express 999," "Dragon Ball," "Saint Seiya," "Sailor Moon," "Slam Dunk," "Digimon," "One Piece," and many others. With an annual output of over 250 episodes, the studio has firmly established itself as a prolific producer.
The origins of the studio trace back to the foundation of the animation company NIHON DOGA CO. in January 1948. In 1958, TOEI CO. acquired this studio, which served as the foundation for the creation of Toei Animation.
The museum displays a collection of materials associated with Toei Animation's broadcasted works, which include popular series like Pretty Cure, Butt Detective, Digimon Adventure, One Piece, Dai's Great Adventure, World Trigger, and more. Furthermore, visitors have the opportunity to access comprehensive information about each anime produced by the studio. The museum provides insights into the production journey, spanning from the initial planning stages to the finalization of animation works, offering a comparison between the traditional era of cell painting and the modern digital era.
