Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatories東京都庁舎の展望室
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building serves as the administrative hub for the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, overseeing the special wards, cities, towns, and villages that collectively form the Tokyo Metropolis. The building's observation area is situated on the 45th floor of its main structure, standing at an elevation of 202 meters above the ground. This area is divided into two sections: the "South Observatory" and the "North Observatory." These observatories are designed to offer visitors both informative insights into Tokyo and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building's policies, as well as breathtaking panoramic vistas.
Both observation decks are easily accessible through dedicated elevators from the ground floor. Entry to these decks is free of charge, and they are enhanced with gift shops and cafes for your convenience. It's worth noting that the opening hours and closing days vary between the two observatories. The South Observatory remains closed on the first and third Tuesday of each month, while the North Observatory is unavailable on the second and fourth Monday of every month.
