The Toyota Tecno Museum, also known as the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, is a technology museum located in Nishi-ku, Nagoya. It was established in June 1994, 28 years ago, and is housed in a historic red-brick textile factory. Toyota started as a textile company and has since evolved into a global automobile manufacturer. The museum was initially named the Toyota Techno Museum Industrial Technology Memorial Museum, but has been known by its current name since July 1, 2014, marking its 20th anniversary. Its exhibits begin with textile looms and trace the evolution of the company and the car industry, including displays of advanced robots.
