Adoption into an Anime Movie
STPR Co., Ltd. has announced that the popular short anime video series "Tōi-san," acclaimed for its comedy, is being adapted into an anime film slated for a summer 2025 release across Japan. The film is being distributed by Shochiku Co., Ltd. and produced by a committee managed jointly by STPR and Dentsu Inc. Nanamori, known for "Theatrical Version SutoPuri: The Beginning Story ~Strawberry School Festa!!!," is overseeing the project. Gel from SutoPuri, the creator of the original series, is involved in every stage of production, ensuring that the film reflects his unique vision, thereby making it a pure Gel-driven entertainment piece. The film aims to reach both existing fans and new audiences, offering a fresh format different from the original video series.
Akane Tōi, the main character of the story and anime, enrolls at Wakura High School expecting a typical teenage life filled with studying, playing, and romance. Known as "Tōi-san," her expectations are quickly disrupted when she meets Gel, a handsome but wildly unpredictable classmate. Instead of romance, she finds herself amidst classmates with exaggerated personalities, leading her to point out their ridiculous antics daily. Her life transforms into an ongoing series of comedic mishaps.
