Central Leagueセントラル・リーグ
The Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) Central League is one of the two leagues that make up the highest level of professional baseball in Japan. The other league is the Pacific League. The Central League was founded in 1950 and is comprised of six teams based in the central region of Japan.
The Central League teams play against each other in a 144-game regular season schedule, which typically runs from late March to early October. At the end of the regular season, the top teams advance to the playoff rounds, with the winner being crowned as the NPB Central League champion.
