Mikuni Onsen Crab Festival三国湊カニまつり

The Mikuni Onsen Crab Festival is an annual event held in Mikuni, Fukui Prefecture, known for its delicious crab dishes and its celebration of the local crab fishing industry. It is usually held in the late autumn or early winter, when the crabs are at their most flavorful. The festival features a variety of crab dishes, including steamed crab, crab sashimi, and crab hot pot, all made with fresh local crabs caught by the fishermen of Mikuni. Visitors can also find a number of street vendors selling crab-based food items, such as crab cakes, crab sushi, and crab tempura. In addition to the delicious food, the festival also features a number of other activities, such as traditional Japanese performances, games, and exhibitions of local crafts.
