Hie Shrine日枝神社

The Hie Shrine was established in 1335, and is situated just north of the outer moat of historic Toyama Castle, nestled between the old samurai district and the former temple quarter. It is located west of the historic Buddhist temple area. The Sanno festival, held in June, draws in a large crowd of 200,000 visitors to this popular shrine, as the approach streets are lined with food stalls.
