Ōshio Hachiman Shrine大塩八幡宮

Ōshio Hachiman Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god Hachiman. Hachiman is the god of war and the patron deity of the samurai, and is also revered as the god of archery and of the imperial household. The shrine is famous for its beautiful and well-maintained gardens. The shrine is believed to have been founded in the 9th century and its Haiden, hall of worship, dates back to the Muromachi period (1336 to 1573) and is registered as an Important Cultural Property. The shrine also holds several annual festivals and events.
