Tokyo Big Sight東京ビッグサイト
Tokyo Big Sight, officially recognized as the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, is a major convention and exhibition complex situated in the Ariake Minami district of Tokyo Waterfront City. It holds the distinction of being the largest convention and exhibition center in the country. Commencing its operations in April 1996, the center has become a significant venue for various events and showcases.
The center was initially designated as a venue for the 2020 Summer Olympics, intended to host events such as wrestling, fencing, and taekwondo. However, due to budget constraints and the reduction of public funds, the organizing committee opted for alternative locations for these events. Instead, Tokyo Big Sight played a pivotal role during the 2020 Summer Olympics by serving as the main broadcasting and press center for the Games.
